Festival Grec

Grec is one of the most successful festivals in Barcelona. Its programming is as broad as its audience. From pop concerts to opera, theatre and ballet, to the circus and puppet theatre, the very diverse groups attend the Grec.

Visual System

TwoPoints.Net developed a flexible, but very operative visual system which is based upon human and artistic expression as a metaphor. The visibility of the working material as paper, paint, scissors and markers creates a proximity that can be experienced in events as well as in examples of theatre or dance acts that are part of the Grec festival.

Each of the five genres became its own visual language and color code. The flexible system adapts itself quickly to each format and media, that was later used by festival organizers. It can guide or surprise the reader. It helps to distinguish between different genres and applications. It reacts to different audiences and is able to communicate with all of them.

Main color scheme with five different colors for the five different genres of the festival. The CMYK color composition ensures that even small sized text remains legible.

The paper structure will used as a background in all applications. It creates a sensual proximity to the material of the design.
The colored or cut corner is used to create suspense and informs the reader (via the color code) about the genre.
